• if i could list every single lc song here i would. but that would take up too much space. so we're just doing one. it was very hard to choose, mind you, considering im one of lc! biggest fans. i met gareth paisely, you know, one of the singers, and i got his autograph too. i listen to lc wayyy too much to be healthy...
• anyways, i decided to choose a song from All Hell because it's my favourite album from them. it's also their most recent, but I it's honestly just really great. If not All Hell, it would've been from Hello Sadness.
• And, from the All Hell songs, it was a close tie between Long Throes, Feast of Tongues, Order of the Seasons, and 0898 Heartache. I ended up just closing my eyes and picking one...it landed on Heartache.
• So about 0898 Heartache, it's actually one of the songs alongside 'kms' that they used to reveal the new album in 2023 ish. I remember being in the Crocodile venue in Seattle and hearing the first few verses of this song...It was really memeroable. Mind you, I didn't even know the lyrics at the time! I was just happy to be enjoying a new LC song! What I immediately loved about 0898 Heartache was how it took the classic Los Campesino's style that had developed over the years and really, you know, DUG into it. Really leaned heavy into it. And then somehow twisted an entirely new sound from what I already knew! It's still distinctly LC, but in a way I hadn't really heard before,
• and then, of course, i looked at the lyrics....and they're amazing! it really just ties the song together. my favourite is definately "you're a million bucks and i am avarice / you know how i hunger for it"...its just so so so amazing! I mean i would get into all my opinions on the meaning and stuff, but then I'd have to get into every OTHER song on the album an what i think the entire thesis of that is, and well, this is getting really long, you know?

• Maragrets Sick is a Washington based band in the Seattle Tacoma area and they NEED more recognition! They're songs are really good. and honestly I'm addicted to their cover of Red Wine Supernova. Anyways. I first heard of them via their song "I still find it comforting to sit in an ashely furniture homestore" which is also really good. they're a self described Northwest Emo band, which their as their social media explains, takes inspiration from midwest emo (so like, Modern Baseball, if you like that. Though honestly they're not that similar to Modern baseball i just named the first Midwest Emo band that popped up in my mind, Maragrets sick has a much softer tone to it.)
• I had wanted to go to one of their concerts, but I didn't have time
• anyways, on the topic of Shahada 2.0...it honestly really speaks to me on a personal level, like, as a song. the lyric "you're not quite where you wanted to be" really hits hard, as someone whose just nose sure where i want to be in life. Also, the softness throughout the whole song, even during the climax, is just really comforting.
